Persons receiving care may not be able to keep good oral hygiene, therefore, caregivers should look inside their mouth and provide assistance as needed.Edentulous Inspection
Make sure to screen for oral cancer. It is very important to check the mouth skin of individuals without natural teeth to prevent it.
Denture Inspection
Doing regular visual inspections of dentures (even if the person is doing his/her own oral hygiene) can reveal hidden denture problems, such as Denture Cracks & Discomfort that need to be corrected.
Make a Dental Appointment
If you notice any problems upon visual inspection, make a dental appointment and speak with a dentist!
